Dorota Wisniewska
licensed architect, Registrar of Audit Committee in Polsih Regional Architects Chamber; specializing in sustainable practices, public buildings, and urban public space revitalization. Dorota’s public space research and works have included bicycling-related projects such as tourist bike routes in the Starogard Borough, Poland; the new biking idea for downtown Bydgoszcz, showing the opportunities of the new circular system linking the bike paths with the river and green areas; and a site plan for the Nasielsk train station, integrating bike paths and bike stops with other transportation modes on the rail route from Gdańsk to Warsaw. Her PhD in the Department of Urban Design and Regional Planning, Faculty of Architecture, Gdańsk University of Technology, focuses on scientific methods of public space redesign for increased utilization. Her award-winning proposal detailing sustainable conversion and re-use of a large historic industrial district to modern and mixed uses was presented in the Museum of City Engineering in Krakow.
